The Creative Live! Optia AF really is a bundle of Creative webcam instant fun. It looks cool and offer some pretty nice features. Sure beats my first webcam. The thing looked horrid and performed even worse. Needless to say, this webcam looks and performs much better.
Though it may be a Creative webcam instant full of fun, it doesn’t lack on functionality. It features auto focus. That means that all your jostling around won’t hinder its performance. It also has some neat face tracking software built in so it keeps your face in the frame. Again, good for folks who move around a lot.
The 2 MP sensor allows for 1600×1200 video quality that really amazed me. Of course, it has all the doo dads that people love like live doodling on faces, added effects (like giant eyes), voice effects (like chipmunk), etc. Another great feature is the parental control. I don’t think I’ve seen that on another webcam.
